Chardonnay - 2010; $35 SOLD OUT
2010 was a warm year with a cool, rainy finish. The rain brought much-needed relief after 10 years of drought, and the vines luxuriated in late-autumn splendor. This wine was wild-fermented in older french oak (with 10% new oak) and matured on ferment lees for 8 months to build texture, complexity and creaminess. Aromas of peach, nectarines, almond-meal and gun-flint are backed up by a rich but balanced palate. Drink now or cellar for 5+ years.
