Low yielidng, fully ripe Merlot grapes were hand plunged in small, open fermenters and the wine was matured in small French and American oak for 2 years. It has a deep crimson colour and rich berry fruit with spicy oak aromas, leading into a full flavoured palate. This vintage has been cellared for 6 years in the bottle and has developed complexity, richness and softeness as it has matured. Drink now or cellar for several years.
